Welcome to Bridge House B&B
Set in the picturesqe village of Muker In the North Yorkshire Dales National Park, Bridge House offers bed and breakfast accomodation all year round. Come and enjoy the surroundings that North Yorkshire, Swaledale and Muker have to offer. There are easy ambles across the meadows or try the coast to coast, Pennine way or Herriot way close by. North Yorkshire and the Dales have plenty to offer; Castles, museums, cafes and craft shops, whatever your choice, we are sure your stay with us will be memorable and enjoyable.
Muker is the ultimate location for anyone wishing to get away from it all. There's no mobile phone signal in the village & if you are lucky enough to get a signal you need the Orange network. So, if absolute peace, with just sheep as background noise sounds like your idyl - you've come to the right place
Good food is available locally both lunchtime & evenings at the Farmers Arms pub. Muker village also has a tea room, gallery, craft shop, Swaledale Woollens and St Marys Church (always open for visitors and reflection). All are within a 2 minute stroll from Bridge House
Originally built as a shooting lodge then re-modelled around 1860, Bridge House is now a family home. Imposing , grand Georgian style on the outside, a surprising informal oasis on the inside.
Each bedroom is individually furnished to create a home from home style.  There's two spacious, comfortable rooms on the top floor with sofas or chairs to admire the views of Muker and the surrounding Swaledale countryside
Our ground floor breakfast room has a cosy log burner, where a hearty breakfast of local North Yorkshire produce & home made bread is served
Each bedroom has a tray with fair trade tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

We can offer storage for bikes, motorcycles and bulky walking gear in our double garage.

Packed lunches also available on request  (please give prior notice when booking )
These are £5.00 per head
To keep a sense of tranquility, we do not have any TV's in our rooms, but around the house there are books and magazines for you to read during your stay. All rooms have bedside radio alarms.
On brighter days the patio offers a place to relax and enjoy drinks at the end of the day
